KF Product
The KF Product is used in refining edible and vegetable oils
Different types of KF:
Various types of KF, based on all general and economical specifications, is divided into two main sub-grades:
1-Super grade, including KF1 and KF2
2-Special grade
Application of various types of KF:
1-Super types KF1 and KF2 have general uses, applied for all kinds of oils. For production of Colza oil, and cotton seed it is better to use KF1. For soya, corn and other edible oils KF2 is used.
2-Special type: under the ordinary conditions KF1 and KF2 can meet every requirement of the consumer. However sometimes due to unusual and temporary changes in raw oil (i.e. the oil production circumstances) or defects in the refinery line (i.e. trouble in the odorless and vacuum system, etc..) the manufacturer might expect special functions from the earth. In this case the consumer should report the problem to the factory while specifying the case, to order a special type of earth to be used. Obviously the consumer who places such and order must consider a priority for his order in his agenda aimed at trouble shooting and removing the factors which caused such defects.
Chemical analysis of KF:
Average chemical analysis (based on the oxides of ingredients) of KFgrades are as follows:
SIO2 % 65.96
AL2O3 % 9.94
Fe2O3 % 0.88
Cao % 1.60
Mgo % 1.95
Na2O % 0.31
K2O % 0.81
P2O5 % 0.05
Mno % 0.01
TiO2 % 0.08
S % 0.84
L.O.I % 17.52
Mineralogic analysis:
This product mainly consists of argil minerals, the major part of which is Montmorilonite. The other minerals are silicate (Silos), “feld spares” as well as a tiny amount of plaster and lime. Furthermore, this product lacks any Kaolinite which is a mineral causing dioxin to be formed in oil. Dioxin is a dangerous factor if found in oil.
Dioxin is a dangerous factor if found in oil.
The physical specification of KF:

Aparent bulk density: 450 – 550 gr/L
particle size : more than 90% pass trough 200 mesh size.
Application benefits of KF:
From the viewpoint of earth affecting oil, and what is expected, KF earth from many aspects not only is among the top quality earths in the world, but also from some aspects it is even the highest around the globe. That is why it has succeeded in obtaining several domestic and well-known international Quality Control standard certificates such as the German Ohmi and Swedish Karssan (Carson) ones as explained below:
- The highest absorption of chlorophyll, in a way that it is the highest quality of earth in the world.
- The highest strength is omitting peroxide.
- The lowest “Anisidine” figure in bleaching the oil
- Minimum absorption of useful components of oil (tokofrols)
- The highest strength is absorption of Fe (Ferros/iron). In this respect it is the highest in the world.
- The highest strength is absorption of nickel in post bleach phase
- The hazardous factor called Dioxin is not formed in oil. This is one of the top advantages of this earth compared to other types.
- The highest de-oxidative resistance in bleaching (discoloring) oil
- The colour of refined oil will not return.
- The highest strength is absorption of phosphor remained from neutralization phase.
- The highest strength is absorption of soap remained from neutralization phase.
- The highest filtration speed.
- The minimum absorption of oil.
- Less consumption of earth in equal conditions.
